¿Quién es Ophelia en la canción de Taylor Swift?
Ophelia es uno de los personajes más enigmáticos de Shakespeare. Hija de Polonio y amante de Hamlet, es utilizada y manipulada por los hombres que la rodean, hasta quedar devastada por la muerte de su padre y el rechazo de Hamlet.
En la obra, su locura es la única forma de expresar su verdad antes de morir ahogada, ya sea por accidente o suicidio. Pero en la versión de Taylor Swift, Ophelia deja de ser solo víctima... y realmente no me sorprende.
La canción convierte su historia en la de una mujer atrapada por las expectativas, pero que canta su rabia y su dolor para sobrevivir. Swift se identifica con esa figura: una “hija mayor” sometida a juicios, rumores y narrativas ajenas, que al final encuentra alivio y poder en su propia voz.
